Position: Street Outreach Worker

Seeking motivated, self-starter capable of working with a
team to provide community outreach, case-management and resource support to individuals
that are a high-risk of being involved in gun violence.
Job description
This position requires an
individual who is knowledgeable about working with individuals who either
currently or in the past have been involved with crime in the city. Because
crime is not a scheduled activity, the individual hired in this position must
be available to work days, evenings and weekends. Attention to detail is a
must, and clear, concise writing skills are mandatory.
You will be required to work
as a member of a team and across numerous agencies. Previous experience working
in the justice system is a plus.
Position Requirements

Ability to engage individuals who are at
high-risk for involvement in gun violence
·
Knowledge of and experience working with violence
prone individuals.
·
Be on call 24 hours to response to homicide
crisis involving gun violence or potential gun violence.
·
Effective verbal and written communication
skills
·
Responsible for maintaining detail case notes of
clients
·
Must have entry level computer skills
Required Education and Qualifications
·
H.S. Diploma/GED
·
2 yrs. Experience in street outreach, case
management, treatment services to violence prone individuals or
education/occupational experience.
