InFocus Turns Up the Volume on Youth Empowerment w/The MRCC

InFocus turns up the volume on empowering youth with The Music Resource Center - Cincinnati staff and a teen member in an interview that will air throughout the month of December.

The Music Resource Center—Cincinnati (MRCC) is a multifaceted teen program that uses recording and performing arts, as well as life skills mentoring to create a sense of empowerment and accomplishment in the urban community.

MRCC teaches adolescents to get along and work together with individuals from diverse backgrounds, to create dynamic products that reflect uniqueness and individuality, to pursue and master new skills, to conduct themselves according to a reasonable code of conduct, and to share their accomplishments in order to enrich the community as a whole.

InFocus host Bill Bell speaks with MRCC Executive Director Karen D'Agostino and Program Director Josh Elstro about the many offerings and the organization's unique programmatic formula. Dance Instructor Aprina Johnson and long-term teen member Eugene provide testimonials and insight on how MRCC is a real solution and not just another youth program.
