New Infocus Guests on Citicable

Citicable hosts CHRC's very own T.V. show called Infocus where our hosts focus on Human Relations issues in the city of Cincinnati. This week Infocus invited the non-profit organization Keeping All Survivors Safe Informed & Emancipated (K.A.S.S.I.E) project on the show to talk about domestic violence and how to gethelp or relief from trauma.

Cassandra was a pregnant mother murdered in her car in December of 2000 by her boyfriend, while her 7-yr old daughter slept in the back seat. This venture is in partnership with the We Must Stop Now  Tour Against Domestic Violence and is being launched under the S.T.A.C.I.E. Foundation , which provides education on domestic violence to law enforcement agencies, prisons, churches and schools across the country. We would like to thank K.A.S.S.I.E for taking the time to be on our show. For more information on K.A.S.S.I.E visit their website at http://www.onthecouchwithkhrys.com/default.html.

Infocus also invited Racial Awareness Pilot Program (RAPP) on the show to talk about the work they do through the University of Cincinnati and the struggles they face. RAPP is a 9-month experiential learning program where students challenge, debate, and educate each other on issues of social justice and social positioning, such as race, culture, gender, class and sexuality. The motto "Each One Teach One" captures the importance and focus that the program places on individual understanding, effort, and commitment to social justice.Visit www.uc.edu/sald/rapp  for more information.
