World Peace Day
Every year on September 21, the United Nations and people all around the world celebrate International Day of Peace. For today’s celebration, the UN will support the push toward world peace with the 2016 theme, “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”
There are plenty of ways to promote peace to recognize the global holiday. From meditation groups, peaceful marches, art exhibitions and educational conferences, many places around the globe are offering fun and inspiring ways to spread non-violence.
"Sustainable Development Goals: Improve Life All Around The Globe" is a hip hop music video that was produced by Flocabulary in partnership with the Education Outreach Section of the Outreach Division of the United Nations Department of Public Information. It aims to teach young people throughout the world about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and how they can help build peace.
