Thank you for helping us kickoff women's history month with "Power of the Ballot"
CHRC thanks National Underground Freedom Center, and YWCA of Cincinnati for an impactful women's history month kickoff, Power of the Ballot. This event boasted an impressive panel of women elected officials, featuring City of Cincinnati Councilmember Amy Murray, Springfield Trustee Gwen McFarlin, and Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco moderated by League of Women Voter's Vice President, Elizabeth Brown. The panelist discussed their journey into office, how to increase women's access to civic positions, and voter turnout. We want to thank each of them for their wisdom, and call to action during this election season and beyond.
